On Saturday 14th November, Bucks travelled to the Lord Roberts Centre in Bisley to meet a formidable Surrey team. The first half was fairly evenly matched with points coming out at 8 apeice and shots at 63 to 61 in favour of Surrey. However, something in the tea obviously affected Bucks as the second half came out heavily in favour of Surrey with only the pairing of Keith Patrick and Bill Faulkner managing to win their game and Kevin Goodman drawing his singles. Everyone else lost and Surrey were the eventual winners with 191 shots to 159 and 28 points to 12. Special mention must be made of Paul Knight playing only his second singles in a County match. He won his first game 18 shots to 9, and although losing his second 9 shots to 16, the game was a masterclass in drawing shot and the final score belies the quality of the game. Well done Paul.
Our next game is at home to Surrey when we hope to redress the balance. Well done everyone, despite a disappointing result.
