Buckinghamshire
Short Mat
Bowling Association

On Saturday 7th November, Bucks visited the new venue of Hertfordshire at the Elm Court Centre in Potters Bar where we were made very welcome. A vast improvement on the old Church Hall but of course they haven't yet had the opportunity to adjust to their own mats, having only played their themselves once before. Bucks took every advantage of this and played very well to come out eventual winners by 192 shots (21 points) to 184 shots (19 points). This isn't to say that Herts didn't play well. They made Bucks work really hard for every point, gaining the bonus points in the singles and the triples. The Bucks pairs won two games and drew two but thanks to some high scoring in two games, managed to get the aggregate as did the Fours. With two wins in the triples, the points were clinched, so well done to Bucks. With three games played and three wins, Bucks are on a roll. Well done to everyone and long may it continue.
