On Sunday 1st November, Bucks welcomed Herts to the Polish Club for their 2nd Inter County match of the season. They started well with Singles player Paul Knight winning convincingly 18 - 7 and Peter Coker only just missing out on the points at 10 - 11. The paring of Bob Hine and John Holland started slowly but soon warmed to the mat and won 21 - 9. New pair to the squad Jim Lander and Len Ward struggled to master the mat and despite playing well, went down 6 - 16. Both Triples lost as did one of the Fours but the other four won 9 - 7. At the half way stage Bucks were trailing 6 points to 10 but after a brief stop for lunch they started to fight back. Paul won his second game 14 - 12, and Bob and John won their second game 21 - 6, securing the bonus points for both the singles and pairs. The Triples had one draw and one win as did the Fours and, by winning one of the games 12 - 4, got the aggregate. Bucks came out eventual winners by 179 shots to 162 and 22 points to 18. Well done Bucks, another great win. Keep it up.
