MATCH REPORT

On Sunday 8th January 2012, Bucks travelled to the Elm Court Centre in Potters Bar to meet Hertfordshire. Right from the start this match was always going to be played in the very best of spirits with a lot of hilarity and the occasional smattering of gamesmanship from both sides, which was always taken in good humour. With plenty of cheering and encouragement all round, the Bucks singles of Kevin Goodman and Paul Knight won their section with 68 shots to 32, gaining 7 of the possible 10 points.
The pairs of Harley and Marlene Neems, and Arnie Jaffe and Bob Hine, won all their games quite convincingly to score 69 shots to 35 and 10 out of a possible 10 points.
The triples, despite some very close games with excellent bowling all round, only managed 1 point, going down 33 shots to 47, while the fours won two out of four games, and squeezed an extra shot out of the bag to win 36 shots to 35, thus getting the 2 bonus points.
Congratulations to the new members of the squad who all played extremely well, and a very hearty WELL DONE to all the players for a sterling performance yet again.
